1. Café Goodluck
Lets start the food tour with some bun maska and chai. This 88 year old legacy café has undergone several transitions in the past but they have retained their place in Punekar's hearts for their hospitality and breakfast delicacies. The café serves a variety of options, such as omelets, bun maska, sandwiches, omelette bun, deserts and chai. The star of the show is the humble yet filling and yummy, bun maska. A soft, fluffy bun is toasted and served with a generous portion of butter. The bun maska goes perfectly with the chai, a delectable brew of tea, milk, and spices. 2. Thorat's Barbeque Misal
Fasten your seatbelts, its time for a spicy ride. One of the most consumed dishes in the state of Maharashtra, Misal pav is prepared using aromatic spices, sprouted lentils, and zesty gravy. Usually, it comes with a side of pav bread. This misal themed eatery serves UNLIMITED misal at a price of just 110/-. You get to choose between four variants viz.., Kolhapuri (spiciest), Puneri, Nashik and Jain. Before serving the gravy with crunchy toppings like mixture and Namkeen sev, they cook the lentils and seasonings on a barbecue which renders it a smoky flavor perfect for a barbeque experience. However, if you watch to go a notch higher and are feeling adventurous, you can opt for the "extra spicy" option, at your own risk :). Do come with your party gang and have a blast.
